the amendments to the rules governing the listing of securities on the Growth Enterprise Market Update No. 8 22 August, 2001 Dear Sirs, Amendments to the GEM Listing Rules to deal with conflicts of interest of the Exchange A new Chapter 36 has been introduced into the GEM Listing Rules to deal with conflicts of interest between the Exchange and persons whom the Exchange regulates in relation to GEM. The new Chapter 36 follows the principles set out in Chapter 38 of the Rules Governing the Listing of Securities on The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited (i.e. the Main Board Listing Rules).
